About Troy

Troy D. Nelson is a Consulting Attorney with LaSusa & Deb, PLLC. Troy specializes in tax, financial, and litigation matters, and has over 25 years of experience in federal and state government tax and environmental work, international tax planning or compliance and complex litigation.

Troy’s previous experience includes: successfully litigating and resolving several complex legal matters, winning or mitigating cases in favor of his clients in both Federal and State courts. Troy has successfully represented cases in multi-jurisdictional corporate litigation cases, representing clients on international tax and transactional matters, and representing clients in personal and business litigation cases.

Troy has worked for the federal government as part of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA)'s Disaster Assistance Program, for the State of Texas, in the Litigation Section of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, and in the private sector as an attorney for various businesses and individuals, successfully navigating diverse litigation cases.
